Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Cleveland, Ohio. Why Cleveland? We were asked that many times..... Our adoption agency hosts an annual reunion picnic at the Cleveland Zoo. We drove there from Atlanta. We attended the China Party on Friday night and were able to visit with all of our friends on our agency China yahoo group as well as see all of our travel buddies. We had so much fun! The girls from our Wuhan group have grown so much since last year. Emma was the youngest and one of the smallest when we adopted in China and now she is a head taller than all the other girls and around 10 pounds heavier than they are, weighing in at a svelt 32 pounds. It took her a few minutes to warm up, but then she joined right in the fun. On Saturday we spent the day at the zoo with our travel group, walking in the parade, visiting the animals, eating and being rowdy. Last year we had Wuhan Super Group (we were named by people from our agency group) tshirts made and we wore them again this year. We spent Saturday night with our travel group eating Chinese in Cleveland's ChinaTown. We visited with them again on Sunday before driving to Lexington, Kentucky for the night. We took the kids to the Horse Park and played at the Cambell House (our hotel) before heading home. Our hotel room was beautiful and had an adjoining kid's room with bunkbeds, a desk, bookshelf full of books, games and puzzles, a tv and bean bag chairs. We had such a great time and hope we are able to go again next year!
